Working together for the benefit of the Myall Coast community and our environment.
We acknowledge and pay respect to the past, present and future Traditional Custodians and Elders of this land and the continuation of cultural, spiritual and educational practices of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.
The role of the HNTGPA is to work together for the benefit of the Myall Coast community and the environment and to:
Present a unified voice to Local Authorities regarding the improvement and development of the region.
Promote the welfare, wellbeing and interests of the people of Tea Gardens, Hawks Nest and surrounds, including the development of policy(s) relative to the achievement of the objectives of the Association.
Examine the impact of proposed development and make submissions to relevant Government bodies, paying attention to the balance between the sustainability of the existing town atmosphere, local economic viability and the provision of town services to residents.
Promote projects which enhance the region for the benefit of residents and local businesses.
Promote and preserve the scenic beauty and amenity of the region.
Offer comment and opinion to Council on behalf of local residents on matters of importance to the community.
Keep residents informed in relation to important Government development policies and strategies.
Form a conduit between the people of the area and the State Government, MidCoast Council and any other relevant bodies.
Foster an active interest in the civic, commercial and social welfare of the area.
Support local organisations and projects including fund raising efforts.

We are all volunteers working in a collegiate manner for our community.
We meet on the second Monday every second month at 6.30pm at the Hawks Nest Community Hall, 71 Booner Street, Hawks Nest,

Our 2022 Annual General Meeting will be held Tuesday, 13th December 2022 at the Green Room, Hawks Nest Golf Club from 6.30pm IAW the NSW Associations Incorporation Act 2009. The purpose is to share the President's Report; to confirm the minutes of the last preceding AGM & of any special general meeting; to receive from the committee reports on the activities of the Association during the last preceding financial year, to elect office-bearers of the Association & ordinary committee members; & to receive & consider any financial statement or report required to be submitted to members under the Act. Notification of the AGM has been listed in the local paper & an invitation emailed to each member.
